I took a short clip of the backyard ... I'm actually trying to figure out how to upload video to blogger. The clip isn't that interesting, and my yard is a mess, but what the heck. The dog burped, seriously.

Long time No see
It's been awhile since I've updated here. Shortly after we decided to rip out the radio and fix the hole in the dining room wall we had a little surprise...
We're going to be changing some diapers around here!
Feburary I started coaching track, and getting quite a bit of morning sickness. It was rough around here for a couple months, so I took some time off from projects. I don't have much new to show you, but I do have this... "Project Nursery"

Use it or Lose it?
This thing is in the middle of our dining room wall. It has an AM radio, and an intercom system. The radio works, the intercom ... worked once on move in day. There's only one speaker by the front door that I can find. I can't decide if we should rip it out or just leave it. Right now it's totally covered by the monster desk/hutch combo, but there's a chance we will someday not want a huge desk there. We're in the process of stripping wall paper, priming, and picking a paint color. We need to decide soon. What would you do?

No more cold showers!
This showerhead was losing so much water that our shower would be cold before we were even rinsed off.
Enter the Waterpik EcoFlow. We picked it up at Wal-mart for $25.
I can't get this dumb thing off. Wait. Why do you have my camera?
This shower head reduces the flow to 2 gallons per minute. I believe the old style shown above was using up to 8 gallons per minute. Hopefully we will use much less of the hot water in the tank, keeping our shower warm to the end.

Bathroom Paint
Remember this bathroom that caused me nightmares, and the vinegar that burned all the hair out of my nose?
We did finally get it painted.
Next up - replace that mirror with the broken light.

Living Room - Before and After
Last week I finally made the big paint reveal. Today I want to show the progression that the living room has made so far. It started with out dated furniture and non-descript paint before we moved in. We immediately removed the dated brown carpet, and added our furniture. Most recently we painted the room Gobi Dessert by Behr paint (matched to Bleeker Beige of Benjamin Moore). Maria over at Colour me Happy recommended painting our blonde wood trim, and closet door. I was hesitant about covering the wood, but I am so happy with how it turned out. I feel like painting the closet door helped make the room more seamless, and easier to look at. We have lots of work left, but I am just so thrilled with how this is turning out so far. Thanks Maria!
